Jogja International Heritage Walk (JIHW)

Jogja International Heritage Walk (JIHW) is an international walking event held by Jogja Walking Association as the organizing committee, which concept covers not only health, but also green environment, education and communication and tourism and economy through a thousand tree planting on Karang Tengah, Bantul slope, encouraging students’ participation on walking activities with international walkers and empowering local people as well as the small and medium enterprises in Prambanan and Imogiri area as the venue of the event.

JIHW is held for two days every November on Prambanan Temple and Imogiri Village, the available routes are 5,10 and 20 km. JIHW is officially announced as the 29th member of International Marching League on May 7th 2013. On the same year, Indonesia is also registered as International Sport Federation (IVV) that supervise triathlon on October. Indonesia is the only country in ASEAN that could join International Marching League.
