Surabaya Marathon returns in 2026, bringing runners back to the streets of the City of Heroes. First launched in 2017 as a city event supported by the Surabaya City Government under Mayor Tri Rismaharini, the race was successfully held in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before being paused due to the pandemic. Now, with the support of the Surabaya City Government under Mayor Eri Cahyadi and presented by Le Minerale, the marathon marks an exciting new chapter in the city's running journey.

Pioneered by the Asosiasi Pengelola Pusat Belanja Indonesia (APPBI), the race welcomes both Indonesian and international runners across four categories: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Surabaya, the event features three competition divisions — Open, National and Master — offering runners of all backgrounds the opportunity to experience the spirit of running in one of Indonesia's most dynamic cities.
